Monday Night Scrabble for Everyone!

Story Hour every Friday DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR  at 10:30am with Kristin McClune.  Please join us for a fun morning of stories, projects and a snack!

 

Douglas Library Book Discussion Group meets every last Wednesday of the month unless otherwise noted, at 6:30PM.  Check out details on our BOOK GROUP Page!  All are invited.


 THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED ON CHRISTMAS EVE DAY, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 24.  THE LIBRARY WILL BE OPEN ON NEW YEAR'S EVE DAY, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 31 UNTIL 6PM.

Welcome to the website of the Douglas Library of North Canaan, CT!

The Douglas Library is pleased to announce a recent gift of 81 brand new award winning children's books from the Libris Foundation!  The Libris Foundation is a nonprofit organization that donates quality children's books to rural public libraries.  Besides the 61 titles selected by the library staff, another 19 science and math books were included as a bonus! Please bring your children to the library to check out these wonderful books that are now available!!

 Knitting Group is Back!!! Join Pam Weltzien on Monday, October 20 at 6:30PM for our first get-together this year!  All levels of knitters and crocheters are welcome! Bring your projects, ideas or let Pam help you begin! Supplies are available.  Call the library 860-824-7863 for further info.  There is no charge.

One-on-One Computer Help at the Douglas Library!  Want some help setting up an email account and learn how to use it?  Want to learn how to surf the web, dive into online research?  Want to learn how to use word processing or do spreadsheets?  Thanks to a savvy and kind  volunteer, we are now offering 30 minute sessions on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings!
