Our goal is to provide a cultural center for all residents of the town of North Canaan and surrounding communities. The library is committed to providing equal access to information, ideas and knowledge through books and other resources. The library believes in and supports intellectual freedom for all.

Lucinda will be at the library Wednesday, March 19 at 6PM! She will discuss her books and have multiple copies for sale. This event is free.

Do you want to escape the weather and the news? Come to the library and do one of our puzzles upstairs! We also have games available to do at the library! Did you know we have meeting rooms for quiet conversation or study?

Hoopla is available to Douglas Library cardholders! Downloadable books, audios, movies, music etc.! Click on the link above/limit 7 items per patron per month.
